Custom Plates, Chargers and Platters from Quaker Arts

slideshow

Quaker Arts Llc produces custom plates, chargers (lay plates), and platters. Each is drawn by hand with meticulous attention to detail. They are then glazed and fired in a kiln to a temperature of approximately 1600 degrees.

These ceramic pieces can be used for everyday ware, as place settings for formal occasions, and for serving meals, cheeses, crudités, etc.

Please click on each link for further information about the imagery available, and for the types, uses, and sizes of this unique ceramic ware.

Works are available through this website, as well as through ATLANTIC ACK (14 Easy Street Nantucket, MA 02554, tel. 508-228-7776) and at ARTISANS ON THE AVENUE (8436 Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill, Pa. 19118, tel. 215-831-0582).

Yacht builders and brokers can have commemorative platters or chargers done of a yacht (motor or sail) to present to your client as a gift.

Churches, Synagogues, and Mosques can commission special plates and platters for ceremonial use, and Quaker Arts can also decorate ewers and chalices if desired.

Country, Golf, Yacht, and Tennis clubs can have platters, chargers, and plates depicting the clubhouse, famous boats, or scenes of the course, along with the name of the club, the private ensign, or the symbol of the club on the rim. Large orders may take a bit longer to complete, but are most welcome.

The platters come in two sizes. The large serving platter with two handles, measuring 15”x21” is ideal for serving turkey, roasts, or ham. The smaller platter measuring approximately 14” square is perfect for serving crudités and hors d’oeuvres.
